WATERING YOUR LAWN

Grass is like any other plant, it needs water to survive.
If possible, water your lawn early morning or late evening, to avoid evaporation.
Long periods of drought can permanently damage a lawn.
Grass needs roughly 1 inch of water per week, all year round.
A well watered lawn is good for the environment.
Use a sprinkler to water your lawn.
Grass is made of approximately 90% water and therefore it is essential to a healthy lawn.
When it comes to watering, be proactive, not reactive.
During the cooler and wetter months, you shouldn't need to water your lawn.
Watering during the hottest part of the day will not burn your grass.
It costs roughly £5 to water 1 inch deep on a 100m2 lawn.
Water deeply 2-4 times per week, rather than a little sprinkle every day.
Every lawn has different soil conditions and will require different amounts of water.
